PopVid AI explained: is it free, is there an app, and what to use instead
An independent guide to popvid.ai by Revid, a different AI video tool that is not affiliated with PopVid. Every PopVid fact below comes from PopVid's own pages.

- No public price list: popvid.ai/pricing returns a 404. Credit packs and passes are priced after sign-in. Extra credits never expire.
- Age
- Adults only. PopVid's Terms say users must be over 18.
- Refunds
- Subscriptions are non-refundable under PopVid's Terms. You can cancel any time and keep access until the billing period ends.
- App
- The popvid.ai website does not link to an App Store or Google Play app. Store apps named PopVid come from other developers.
If you searched for PopVid, PopVid AI, Pop Vid AI or Pop Video AI, the official product is the website popvid.ai. This page is not PopVid. It answers the questions people ask before signing up (is it free, what it costs, whether there is an app) using PopVid's own help pages and terms, then compares it with Revid.
The two products do different jobs. PopVid is built for interactive stories you play with AI characters. Revid is built for short videos you publish: TikToks, Reels, Shorts, music videos and ads, with voice-over, captions and music included.
What is PopVid AI?
PopVid presents itself as "Real-Time AI Roleplay in Video" (popvid.ai). You pick a community story in genres such as anime, romance, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, mafia, yandere or paranormal, write what you say or do, and an AI character answers with a short generated video. Its about page credits a proprietary "world model" for keeping each character consistent from frame to frame.
The second feature is Twist: you change a meme, an uploaded image or a video with a short prompt or a template, and other users can twist your twist. The Create menu adds text-to-image, image-to-video and a roleplay story builder. "Open World Adventures" is listed as coming soon.
Is PopVid AI free? How the credits work
Partly. PopVid runs on credits, and the free allowance is a one-time welcome gift rather than a daily refill. According to PopVid's support page and its in-app FAQ, as of October 2026:
- Welcome credits: 200 for new users.
- Daily credits: none for free users. Pro Pass users receive 50 credits that refresh every day.
- Monthly credits: come with a paid plan and refresh on your billing date.
- Extra credits: one-time top-ups that never expire.
- Earning more: 100 credits for each eligible new user you invite, and up to 10,000 credits a month through its Creator Program.
- Cost per use: a roleplay turn costs 2 credits, because every reply is a generated video. Credits are only deducted when a generation succeeds.
How much does PopVid AI cost?
PopVid does not publish prices. Its /pricing address returns a 404, and the support page explains the credit types without amounts. Credit packs and passes are priced inside your account after sign-in, so check the amount there before paying.
Its Terms say all subscriptions are non-refundable. Cancelling (Me, then Settings, then Subscription) turns off renewal, and your benefits continue until the end of the billing cycle.
Is there a PopVid app or APK?
PopVid works in a mobile browser, and the popvid.ai website does not link to an App Store or Google Play listing (checked October 2026). Apps with PopVid in their name are published by other developers: on iOS there is an AI photo and video editor, and on Google Play an unofficial "help" guide app.
Check the publisher and support website on any listing before installing. Skip APK or "mod" files from download sites: they do not come from PopVid and can carry malware.
PopVid AI limits to know before you commit
From PopVid's own pages:
- It is 18+ only, per its Terms, so it is not an option for younger users.
- Free use stops when the welcome credits run out: at 2 credits a turn, 200 credits cover about 100 roleplay replies.
- There is no price list before sign-up, and subscriptions are non-refundable.
- Its public pages describe roleplay, remixes and clip creation. They do not mention a timeline editor, captions, voice-over or scheduled posting to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram.

When PopVid is the right choice
If you want to play interactive stories where an AI character answers you in video, or remix community clips with a prompt, PopVid is built for that and Revid does not try to be. Keep in mind it is adults-only and free use ends with the welcome credits, so expect to buy credits or a pass if you play often.

- Character-style chat apps: If what you liked about popvid.ai is talking to an AI character, roleplay chat platforms cover the conversation side better; they just do not generate video.
