To find TikTok influencers, search TikTok for your niche's keywords and hashtags, look for creators already posting about your product, check who your competitors sponsor, and browse TikTok One (formerly Creator Marketplace) or a creator search tool. Then shortlist by average views, engagement and audience fit, not follower count.
Getting this right pays off beyond organic posts. TikTok's Return on Influence report (January 2025) found that Spark Ads built on creator content had a 43% higher conversion rate and a 142% higher engagement rate than standard in-feed ads (more in our UGC statistics). The usual mistake is picking creators by follower count: TikTok opens on the For You feed, which serves videos by interest, so a smaller creator in your niche can easily outdraw a bigger generalist.

How to find TikTok influencers: 6 methods
Most brands combine two or three of these: a free method to build a long list, then a data source to check the numbers.
| Method | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok keyword and hashtag search | Free | Any niche, first long list |
| Your own mentions and tags | Free | Creators who already like your product |
| Competitor sponsorships | Free | Creators proven to sell your category |
| TikTok One (formerly Creator Marketplace) | Free to browse where available | First-party audience data and campaign invites |
| TikTok Shop affiliate program | Commission on sales | Brands selling on TikTok Shop |
| Influencer marketing platforms | Paid subscription | Teams running many campaigns across platforms |
The index leans toward videos that surface in hashtag and keyword searches, so its view counts run high: compare the groups, not the absolute numbers.

1. Search TikTok for your niche's keywords and hashtags
Type the words your buyers use into TikTok search, then check the Users tab as well as the Videos tab. For sustainable fashion, try #sustainablefashion, #ethicalstyle, #secondhandfinds and #upcycledfashion; for a keto snack, #ketotok, #lowcarbsnacks and #healthysnackideas.
Skip creators with one lucky hit. Open each profile and scroll the last 10 videos: you want steady views across most of them, a clear topic, and comments from real people asking real questions. To see which tags are rising in your niche right now, check trending TikTok hashtags by niche.
2. Look for creators already talking about you
Search your brand name, product names and common misspellings, and go through your tags and mentions. A creator who already bought and filmed your product needs no persuading, and their audience has already seen it. Ocean Spray's best-known TikTok moment started this way (see the examples below).
3. Check who your competitors sponsor
Open your competitors' TikTok profiles and the creators they tag, and look for posts labeled "Paid partnership" or tagged #ad or #sponsored. A creator who already sells your category has a proven audience; before you reach out, find out whether they signed an exclusivity clause. You can look up TikTok accounts without logging in when you research from a work computer.
The goal is not to copy a competitor's roster but to spot creators you missed and partnerships that flopped.
4. Browse TikTok One (formerly Creator Marketplace)
TikTok One is TikTok's own hub for brands and creators, and it now includes what used to be the Creator Marketplace. It lets you search creators with filters such as region, topic, reach, average views and audience demographics, see audience data that comes from TikTok itself, and invite creators to campaigns. Access and features vary by country and account type, so check what your business account can see before you plan around it.
5. Recruit affiliates through TikTok Shop
If you sell on TikTok Shop, affiliate creators can promote your products for a commission. In the US, affiliate creators must apply themselves, be at least 18 and have at least 1,000 followers; those under 5,000 followers start in an Affiliate Creator Pilot Program for at least 30 days. That makes TikTok Shop a good source of small, sales-focused creators who are paid on results.
6. Use an influencer marketing platform
Paid platforms such as Aspire (formerly AspireIQ), Upfluence, HypeAuditor, Klear and NeoReach keep databases of creators across several social networks, with filters for location, language, audience demographics and engagement, plus outreach and campaign tracking. They make sense once you run many campaigns a year. For a first test, the free methods above usually find more candidates than you can vet.
How to search for TikTok influencers with a free finder tool
TikTok's own search ranks videos by what it thinks you want to watch, and it has no filter for views. Revid's TikTok video finder works the other way: it searches about 2.4 million TikToks by meaning and lets you filter by performance, so you find the videos already winning in your niche, then the creators behind them.
- Describe your niche or campaign in plain words ("budget skincare for oily skin"). The search works by meaning, not only exact keywords.
- Filter by language to match the audience you sell to.
- Add the hashtags that define your niche.
- Set performance filters: minimum views, likes, shares or comments, a date range, a video duration, a mood or a style. Sort by most recent or most liked.
- Open the creators behind the videos that fit. Each search returns up to 12 videos. Follower counts and posting frequency are not filters, so check those on each profile.
- Keep a shortlist of handles to share with your team before outreach.
On a paid Revid plan, the channel watcher tracks TikTok channels you choose (5 on Growth, 20 on Elite, 50 on Ultra), synced daily, so you can follow shortlisted creators and spot their outlier videos before you sign or renew. The free deep analysis (up to 60 videos a day) explains why a specific video worked: its hook, its structure and the moment that stops the scroll. That tells you whether a creator's hits are repeatable or luck.
How to choose the right TikTok influencer

Pick the tier that matches your goal
First, confirm your buyers are on TikTok. Pew Research Center found that 63% of US adults under 30 use TikTok, compared with 12% of adults 65 and older; Hootsuite's TikTok demographics roundup and Business of Apps' TikTok user statistics break the audience down further. Reach itself is rarely the problem: TikTok sits near the top of Business of Apps' ranking of the most downloaded apps, and Exploding Topics' data on time spent on TikTok shows how long users stay on the app.

| Tier | Followers | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | 1,000 to 10,000 | Product seeding, UGC for your ads, local businesses |
| Micro | 10K to 50K | Niche trust on a small budget |
| Mid-tier | 50K to 500K | Reach inside a niche, multi-video series |
| Macro | 500,000 to 1 million | Broad awareness in a category |
| Mega | 1 million+ | Launches that need mass reach |
The decision rule: if you need sales or ad content on a small budget, run several nano and micro creators at once and keep the ones that convert. If you need a launch moment for a broad consumer product, one macro or mega creator can make sense, but expect a wider audience that is harder to target.
What stats should you check on a TikTok influencer?
Follower count tells you little. Check these on the creator's last 10 videos, and ask for analytics screenshots for the rest:
- Average views per video, and how stable it is. A creator whose views swing from viral to near zero is hard to plan around.
- Engagement rate: (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100. Our TikTok engagement rate calculator does the maths.
- Audience location, age and gender from TikTok Studio analytics. Ask for 28-day screenshots; TikTok Studio offers 7, 28, 60 and 365-day ranges.
- Comment quality: questions about the product and personal replies beat strings of emojis.
- Past sponsored posts: did they hold the creator's usual views, or drop sharply?
For benchmarks, Socialinsider's 2026 study of 69 million short-form videos found an average TikTok engagement rate by followers of 2.60%. In Revid's analysis of 176,367 TikToks with 1,000+ likes posted between October 2025 and October 2026, the median video drew 64.4K views, with 7.1 likes, 0.88 shares and 0.08 comments per 100 views (see our study of what makes TikToks go viral). That sample only includes videos that already passed 1,000 likes, so treat those ratios as the profile of a strong video, not a minimum.
Red flags: fake followers, poor fit and unprofessional behavior
- Views far below follower count on most recent videos.
- Generic or spammy comments, or comments in languages that don't match the stated audience.
- A sudden jump in followers with no viral video to explain it. Audit tools such as HypeAuditor and FollowerAudit can flag suspicious audience patterns.
- Content or opinions that clash with your values (a vegan snack brand and a creator who promotes meat products every week).
- Slow replies, missed deadlines or pushback on reasonable contract terms in the first exchange.
- Past sponsored posts with no disclosure.
Ask for a media kit too: a good influencer media kit puts audience data, rates and past partners in one place.

How much do TikTok influencers charge?
There is no official rate card. Price depends on average views more than followers, plus the niche, the number of videos, exclusivity and whether you can run the video as an ad. Sourced reference points:
- On Collabstr's marketplace, the average UGC campaign cost $197 in its 2026 report, down from $209.
- In Influencer Marketing Hub's Benchmark Report 2026, roughly 80% of responses put UGC creator costs under $500, with most of the rest between $500 and $2,000.
- In Aspire's 2026 research, 67% of brands include paid usage rights in the creator's initial rate, and many creators price usage at 15% to 35% of their base rate per 30 days.
UGC creators make videos for your channels and ads; a post on a creator's own large account usually costs more. Before you accept a quote, divide it by the creator's typical views to get a cost per 1,000 views, and compare that with what you pay for ads. For a rough sense of an account's value, try the TikTok worth calculator. For return estimates, Digital Marketing Institute's influencer marketing statistics collect industry figures, but your own tracked sales are the only ROI number worth trusting.
The index leans toward videos that surface in hashtag and keyword searches, so its view counts run high: compare the groups, not the absolute numbers.

Three TikTok creator partnerships worth studying
Ocean Spray and Nathan Apodaca. In 2020, Apodaca posted an unpaid video of himself skateboarding and drinking Ocean Spray, set to Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". It spread across TikTok, and Ocean Spray responded by gifting him a truck loaded with juice; Colling Media's recap of the Ocean Spray video covers the brand's reaction. The lesson: watch for creators already using your product, and reward them fast.

e.l.f. Cosmetics and #eyeslipsface. e.l.f. commissioned an original song and seeded it with creators, who turned it into a TikTok challenge. The campaign's Cannes Lions entry documents how far it spread, including onto Spotify's global viral chart. The lesson: give creators a format they can make their own, not a script to read.

CeraVe and Hyram Yarbro. Hyram built his audience on blunt, ingredient-focused skincare reviews, and his repeated recommendations helped make CeraVe a Gen Z favorite. The Guardian's profile of Hyram Yarbro describes how much sway he had over what young shoppers bought. The lesson: a niche expert whose audience trusts their judgment can beat a bigger lifestyle creator.

How to brief TikTok creators and measure results
- Write a one-page brief: the product, the one message, required and banned claims, deliverables, deadlines and disclosure rules. Leave the hook, the format and the edit to the creator.
- Agree on usage rights if you want to run the video as a Spark Ad or in other ads.
- Give each creator a unique link or promo code so you can tie sales to each video.
- Ask for analytics screenshots 7 and 28 days after posting: views, average watch time, audience location and engagement.
- Keep the creators who convert and offer them a longer deal; drop the rest.
Creative freedom also protects reach. In Revid's index of popular TikToks, posts that promote a brand had a median of about 57,000 views, 29% fewer than the 80,000 of non-branded posts. Videos that feel like ads get scrolled past, and the creator knows what their audience actually watches.
To test angles before you pay creators, you can make creator-style ads from your product images with Revid's UGC ad generator, or remix a viral video into an original one with your own script and visuals. The angles that perform tell you what to put in the brief.
FAQ
How do I find TikTok influencers for free?
Search TikTok by keyword and hashtag and check the Users tab, look through your own mentions, and study the creators your competitors tag. A free performance-based search such as Revid's TikTok video finder adds view and engagement filters that TikTok search lacks.
How many followers does a TikTok influencer need?
There is no minimum to work with a brand; the nano tier usually starts around 1,000 followers. In the US, TikTok Shop affiliate creators need at least 1,000 followers, and average views matter more than the follower count.
How do I contact a TikTok influencer to work with?
Use the business email in their bio first, then a direct message, a TikTok One campaign invite, or their manager if they list one. Send a short brief with the deliverables, timeline and budget in the first message.
Do TikTok influencers have to disclose paid partnerships?
Yes. In the US the FTC requires clear disclosure of paid relationships, and TikTok's content disclosure setting adds a paid partnership label to the post.
Can I find TikTok influencers without a TikTok account?
Yes. TikTok profiles and videos can be viewed on the web, and free tools let you search TikTok users and viral videos without logging in.
